In just two days the largest VW show/race event on the East Coast gets the party started!!! Bugout 77 is Sunday, May 24th. ECPRA Pro Stock and Pro Mod racers will gunning for season opening wins. Several new Pro Mod entries make their debut in the ECPRA Season Opener at Virginia Motorsports Park.
Daniel May is racing his 65 Turbo Beetle recently transplanted from Cali. and Jerry Lewis has the “Backdraft” machine running hard and tested recently at VMP. They both have confirmed they will running at Bugout 77 as well as longtime Pro Stock racer Denis Elliott returning to do battle.
It is shaping to be a must see event especially since this will be the only Bugout held in 2015.
The first event of the 2015 ECPRA season is only a month and a half away. Here is some additional event information for those planning on racing either Pro Stock or Pro Mod.
Please take a moment to review the ECPRA rules to make sure your racer meets all the requirements for competition. Those cars not meeting the ECPRA rules will not be allowed to compete in the Pro Stock or Pro Mod classes.

The ECPRA will racing on Saturday, September 5th at Ohio Valley Dragway with the North Coast VW Drag Racing Association. The race will also feature the Bluegrass Super Shifters. This will be a points race for ECPRA Pro Stocks. Be sure to come out and see some of the fastest VW’s on the East Coast (or North Coast!!) racing with high winding V8 stickshift cars!!!

The ECPRA 2015 season kickoff meeting is now complete. Thanks to everyone who attended either in person or via conference call.
We’d also like to thank the Curry family for hosting the event.
In addition, we’d like to congratulate Alex Curry for receiving the ECPRA’s inaugural “Number 1 Fan” trophy. Alex has consistantly been an avid supporter of our events and has single handedly done more to promote the ECPRA’s social media reach than all other members put together.
